Have you ever wondered if Hollywood stars have to wait in line at the DMV like the rest of us? A few days ago, Academy Award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow, 48, was spotted skipping a line of nearly fifty people when she was ushered in through a secret backdoor to get her DMV work done before everyone else. The actress was spotted entering the public building along with her bodyguard at about 11 am, skipping the large line of “regular” people who were not given the star-studded treatment.

While Paltrow was inside the DMV, her bodyguard stayed outside and chatted with a DMV worker. The star’s trip to the department building did not take too long. She was out and back in her SUV within about thirty minutes of her arrival. Meanwhile, the regular people stuck in line still had to wait their turn.

Although this incident proves that Paltrow gets special treatment, she previously made comments about how it is a “pretty terrible” experience for her as a famous person. During her appearance on the Anna Faris Is Unqualified podcast last month, the Goop creator said:

“I’ve been in the public eye for so many years, the surreal part is having been famous, basically, my whole adult life, so I don’t know what it means to be a grown-up without all of the scrutiny and all of the wonderful things and terrible things that come with being a famous person.”

She added: “I think our culture idealizes fame so much, and I actually think it’s [a] pretty terrible thing to be famous if our purpose on the planet is for human development and to really become the truest, best version of ourselves. I think fame is a huge impediment to that, and I’ve had to work really hard to separate the fame from who I am.”

In addition to her work as an actor and business owner, she recently announced that she was crowned the “well-being advisor” for Celebrity Cruises’ new Celebrity Beyond ship, which will launch into the seas in 2022.

She announced her new job title along with an image of herself gazing at the sky while on the beach in a bikini.

Paltrow shared: “I am always happiest by, in or on the sea! In 2022 my @goop team and I are going to join @celebritycruises on their new ship, Celebrity Beyond. I’ll be behind the scenes, working on some special projects, as Celebrity’s new Well-being Advisor. My team @goop is curating programming and fitness kits to add to Celebrity’s wellness the experience.”

Paltrow added: “I’m sworn to secrecy on the rest—keep an eye out for the details coming soon.”

Until those details are made public, Paltrow will continue to enjoy the perks of being a Hollywood actor. Not only is she able to skip the entire line at the DMV, but she also has a bodyguard and someone to drive her everywhere she wants to go.

Do you think Gwyneth Paltrow and other Hollywood stars should receive special treatment like this?
