In Pennsylvania, a Burger King employee learned why they’re considered “essential workers.” After an outraged white customer threw a fit, the angry man slapped a hard-working Burger King employee across the face in a moment of rage. The worker was hit because the angry customer wanted to use the slap as a punctuation mark to finish his angry complaint – but the video has been going viral across social media as it shows the two people interacting without masks on despite the pandemic conditions.

In the footage, which was posted to Twitter and has gone viral, the customer is furious that a female employee (not shown in the footage) miscounted the order. The customer shouts that the worker “can’t count except for robbery and stealing stuff.”

“She needs to get the f–k out of here before I get her put in jail for the rest of her life,” the enraged customer ranted.

The worker used this chance to remind the customer that his actions were being recorded by a security camera. In response to that statement, the employee lifted his hand and used it to slap the face of the Burger King worker. The customer then fled the store after assaulting the worker. Thankfully, the violent abuser has been identified. His name is Austin Addison, a 21-year-old man who has been charged in connection to this violence that occurred at the Burger King location.

“She needs to get the f–k out of here before I get her put in jail for the rest of her life,” the furious customer ranted about the woman who completed his Burger King order.

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, the abuser was arrested and charged with harassment, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief – all because he could not handle the Burger King employee getting his order wrong.

Although the clip only includes thirteen seconds of footage, a bystander – who also happened to be a Burger King customer at the same time as Addison – claimed that the footage was incomplete. As it stood in reality, Addison rushed into the location looking for a female employee that he apparently knew prior to this incident. That’s when the recording started, and Addison used his white privilege to slap the employee across the face. However, he would suffer the consequences of his violence later when police caught up with him and arrested him on three charges.

Prior to the violent outburst, Addison was an employee at Harbor Freight Tools. However, this employer has dropped him because of what they saw in the Burger King footage. The company also went so far as to tell TMZ that they don’t condone Addison’s actions and were forced to let him go because of what they saw in the footage.

TMZ reported, “Here’s the deal … the video picks up with the upset customer screaming about a BK employee who ‘can’t count except for robbery and stealing stuff.’ Next, the man threatens to somehow get the employee put in jail for the rest of her life.

“Sounds like he was allegedly shorted on some chicken nuggets and decided it would be a good idea to yell and scream at the manager, or whoever was working the counter, without a face covering … and make his point with a slap to the face. The BK employee took it all in stride and tried to warn the guy he was on-camera … but that didn’t stop the slap heard around the lounge.”
