Nineteen years ago, the world met Michael Jackson’s son, Prince Michael Jackson II. Although that was his given name, he was famously referred to as Blanket. In the years since Michael Jackson’s tragic death in 2009, Blanket, who now prefers to be called “Bigi,” has been living out of the spotlight – until Monday when he appeared on television to conduct an interview with Good Morning Britain at his brother Prince’s Thriller Night Halloween Party in California.

The party was held as a way for the family to raise money to support The Heal Los Angeles Foundation. During the interview, Bigi spoke about what it was like to be the son of the King of Pop. Previously, he rarely opened up about his life as a son of Michael Jackson.

“There’s a lot of history in this house and the studio here,” Bigi said. “That’s what he was all about. That’s what each of us wants to do and make things that people can enjoy and hopefully benefit their lives.”

During his moment in the spotlight, Bigi also spoke about his passion for combatting climate change around the world. He expressed his desire to see world leaders take dramatic action during the COP26 conference.

“I do think it’s important that we all know about it. I think we have some work to do, but our generation knows how important it is.”

Michael Jackson passed away when Bigi was only seven years old. Jackson died because of cardiac arrest brought on by a fatal combination of medications prescribed by his doctor.

After Jackson’s sudden and shocking death, Bigi and his older siblings, Prince, 24, and Paris, 23, went to live with their grandmother Katherine Jackson.

Bigi currently lives in Calabasas, California. Last year, he purchased a home in the desirable California town. Bigi’s neighbors include celebrities like Dr. Dre and John Travolta. The home measures 6,382 square feet, which is plenty of space for a nineteen-year-old boy to live his best life.

Bigi was just a child when Michael Jackson’s memorial service took place. Held on July 29, 2009, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, an estimated one billion people watched as Bigi and his siblings walked up to their father’s casket and said goodbye.

Since then, Bigi has tried to live a normal life. He recently graduated from high school and plans to attend college in the near future. Bigi played football for Loyola High School, where he was known as “Quarterback Jackson” by his peers.

Bigi has grown into quite an attractive young man, but it would be hard to say that he looks anything like his father. In fact, Bigi looks exactly like what you would expect a Jackson to look like – he has striking eyes and prominent cheekbones.

This year’s Halloween party hosted by Bigi and his older brother Prince proved that they are moving on from Michael Jackson’s death and making names for themselves as adults. Bigi’s interview on Good Morning Britain shows that he is making a name for himself as an activist and has big plans to take action against climate change at the COP26 conference.
