Audrey Roloff kept her fans on social media up to date when it came to her pregnancy. Because she gave birth to her son inside of her home, she wanted to pull back the curtain to reveal what it was like so her fans would get an up-close and personal look at her life as a mom. In a shocking move that left her social media followers in a daze, Roloff uploaded a photo of her postpartum body only one hour after she gave birth to her newborn son, Radley.

Roloff made herself a popular figure with her appearance in Little People, Big World. However, she has not stopped with that program and has managed to earn herself even more followers thanks to her persistent use of social media. This past week, Roloff and her husband Jeremy Roloff welcomed their third child into the world. For Radley’s birth, the pair decided to go with a water birth at home, which was an eye-opening experience for the hard-working couple.

“It’s a boy!” Roloff captioned the family portrait. “Welcome to the world, Radley Knight Roloff. Born 11.8.21 at 6:32 am 9.1 lbs 21.5 in and born en caul which was wild!”

On Thursday, Roloff, 30, used her Instagram account to share a story about her home birth. With more than 1.5 million followers on the Facebook-owned social media platform, Roloff included photos of her postpartum body to give people a look at what the female body is capable of doing under the strenuous conditions of childbirth. Roloff called it a “miraculous” thing that her body was able to bounce back from the birth as quickly as it did.

“The 1-hour postpartum mirror selfie,” she wrote. “God made our bodies to do miraculous things like bringing life into the world.”

Fans applauded Roloff for delivering her son at home via water birth. Because the baby boy was born “en caul,” which means that he was born while still inside his amniotic sac, she had to be extra careful. Fortunately, everything went off without a hitch, and the happy family was able to celebrate the arrival of their new baby boy.

After sharing images of the birth, Roloff contributed the following comment.

“I can’t wait to share his birth story with you soon,” the mother-of-three added. “We are so grateful to God for answering so many specific prayers in regards to this labor and delivery. A word that I had been praying over this birth was ‘harmony.’ It truly was one of the most harmonious experiences.”

Radley joins his brother and sister, Emberly, seven, and Jeremy Jr., four.

Fans on Instagram showered Roloff with positive comments about the home water birth.

“Congratulations to you both! It’s so great that you guys decided to do an at-home water birth,” one Instagram user commented. “Also, so brave to share your story and postpartum photo on social media. Can’t wait to see more.”

“You look amazing!” added another. “I have never seen a postpartum body so soon after giving birth. It’s so crazy what a woman’s body can do — we really do not get enough credit. Congrats, you two.”

“So proud of you both for having a water birth! It takes serious courage but so rewarding to do things the natural way,” a follower said. “Thank you for being so transparent!”
